SnapInsta is designed with privacy in mind. We don't store the URLs you paste. We don't store the files we deliver to you. We don't require an account, an email, or your Instagram credentials. When you click Download, SnapInsta's server fetches the file from Instagram's public CDN and streams it back to your browser. Most SnapInsta downloads work first try. When something does go wrong, it's usually one of these.

• "Profile not found" or "Content unavailable." Usually means the post was deleted, the account went private, or the URL has a typo. Open the link in an incognito tab — if you can't see it without logging in, SnapInsta can't either.
• Download fails halfway. Usually network related. Refresh and try again. SnapInsta's servers don't cache failed downloads, so retrying always starts a fresh fetch.
• Wrong file type saved. Some browsers add a file extension based on Content-Type rather than the URL. If you got a .mp4 with no extension, just rename it. The bytes are valid.
• Video plays without audio. Some Instagram reels are uploaded without an audio track on purpose. The MP4 SnapInsta serves matches the original — if Instagram doesn't have audio for that post, neither does the download.
• iPhone won't save to camera roll. By default Safari saves MP4s to the Files app. To get them into Photos, open the file from Files, tap Share, choose "Save Video."

Downloading public Instagram content for personal use is generally fine in most jurisdictions — you're saving something you can already view freely in a browser, just to a different storage location. The grey area is what you do with the file afterwards.

Republishing someone else's Instagram video as your own is a copyright violation everywhere. Using a video without permission in a commercial context (an ad, a paid course, monetized content) is similarly off-limits.
